Lost State of Franklin

In addition to four albums and hundreds of songs and compositions, J Scott Franklin and Tyler Postma-Franklin have performed on countless other albums. Their impact on the music scene stretches far beyond Lost State of Franklin.

Not listed in the discography is a song (Sambali?) by the electronic band Pureplex, which featured a remixed and lengthened trumpet solo. Around 2004, the song rose pretty high on the German dance charts and played in nearly every German dance club…featuring Scott’s extended trumpet solo.

Scott’s trumpet has also been sampled by many artists such as RacerMason. It’s not uncommon to hear his trumpet on a random song at your local restaurant or grocery store.
